Prof. Paweł Horodecki is a co-founder of quantum entanglement theory. He is a co-discoverer of bound entanglement and entanglement witnesses. Author of about 170 papers on quantum information and foundation of quantum physics, some of them resulting from collaborations on experimental implementations of quantum information concepts. He was also interested in quantum continuous variables and relativistic quantum scattering theory. His present interests include, among others, quantum and postquantum randomness, relativistic quantum information and theory of quantum resources.

THE SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH

The group of New Quantum Resources works on various topics related to general quantum information resources including also search for novel quantum advantages. Specific topics of the research include:

  • Quantum randomness
  • Causality and relativistic propagation of information
  • Quantum non-Marcovianity
  • Quantum to classical transition including emergence of objectivity
  • Nonstandard aspects of quantum metrology
  • Quantum resources theory including multitasking
  • Analysis of physical implementations of specific quantum tasks
  • Bell inequalities and contextuality
  • Ultimate limits of information processing based on physical principles
