EVALUATION OF PROJECT PROGRESS
During the project implementation period, the IRAP implementing unit submits reports to the FNP in accordance with the rules defined in the grant agreement and described below.

MID-TERM REVIEWS
- Opinions prepared by the reviewers on the basis of the submitted mid-term report,
- Opinions given by experts on the project site, where they will meet, among others, R&D staff engaged in the project implementation, project partners, ISC members and research group leaders.
First mid-term review
The first mid-term evaluation is conducted 12 months after the project launch date. In accordance with the Competition Documentation, the first mid-term evaluation concerns mainly:
- The method of implementing the organisational structure proposed in the application;
- The implementation of good practices, e.g. with regard to the recruitment of research staff;
- Cooperation with a partner institution from abroad;
- The analysis of an evaluation of employees hired before the project (if applicable).
Second mid-term review
The second mid-term evaluation is conducted 36 months after the Project launch date. This evaluation focuses on:
- Evaluation of the research excellence of team leaders, team members and other staff members, including the number of new teams at the IRAP implementing unit;
- Leaders’ active involvement in applying for ERC or equally prestigious grants (e.g. those awarded by Wellcome Trust);
- Establishing cooperation with entrepreneurs;
- The level of internationalisation and development of R&D personnel for the needs of an innovative economy.
Mid-term reports should be submitted to the Foundation within 25 days after the end of the 12th and 36th month of the project implementation.

PROGRESS REPORT ON THE END OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE I PART PROJECT
MID-TERM REVIEWS

First mid-term review
The first mid-term evaluation is conducted 12 months following the Part 2 of the project launch date. In accordance with the Competition Documentation, the first mid-term evaluation focuses primarily on:
- The method of implementing the organisational structure proposed in the application;
- The implementation of good practises, e.g. with regard to the recruitment of research staff;
- Cooperation with the foreign partner institution;
- The analysis of an evaluation of R&D personnel hired during the Part 1 of the project (if applicable).
Second mid-term review
The second mid-term evaluation is conducted 36 months following the Part 2 of the project launch date. This evaluation focuses on:
- Evaluation of the research excellence of team leaders, team members and other staff members, including the number of new teams at the IRAP implementing unit;

Mid-term reports should be submitted to the Foundation within 25 days after the end of the 12th and 36th month of the implementation of Part II of the project.
