Dr. Vignesh Kumaravel has around 9 years of research and teaching experience at the renowned institutes of Asia, the Middle East, and Europe (the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Qatar, and Ireland). Recently, he worked as a Senior Scientist at IT Sligo, Ireland in the EU Renewable Engine project (2018-2021). He has developed novel materials and technologies in collaboration with eminent scientists from academia and industries. He has completed various major research projects on the utilization of functional materials. His findings have been published in top-rated international peer-reviewed journals.
THE SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH
Development of smart & functional materials for: (a) Antimicrobial food packaging materials from food/agriculture waste; (b) Stimuli-responsive materials for antimicrobial medical polymers and implants; (c) Bio-electrochemical conversion of carbon dioxide into value-added products; (d) Thermally stable batteries for the next-generation electric vehicles (EVs); (e) Biodegradable electrode & electrolyte materials for energy storage devices; and (f) Electrocatalytic bio-hydrogen production.
