Oxide Single Crystals
THE SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH
The research conducted within the group is based on over 30 years in the technology of crystallization of oxide single crystals. This group develop and investigate novel single crystals and technologies to make them, as well as will collaborate with other groups to push the materials into new applications. We have expertise in the following materials: active laser materials – especially laser materials for near-infrared, for microlasers and lasers with broad emission spectrum (1-3 μm), nonlinear materials for second harmonic generation, crystals as passive modulators, substrate materials, piezoelectric materials, relaxor ferroelectrics, new scintillating materials potential for PET and PEM tomographs, materials for optical isolators.
