Dr. Suchenek is a leader of the Electronics and Data Acquisition and Processing Group at AstroCeNT. Dr Suchenek’s primary research interests lie in the development and construction of electronics systems and devices. In his projects, he uses simple systems with microcontrollers based on the ARM architecture, FPGA circuits, as well as heterogeneous computer systems.

Mariusz Suchenek is a member of the Polish Consortium of the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) and also Instrument Science Board of Einstein Telescope (ET). He is interested in some aspects of photoacoustic signal detection measurement of gas parameters using ultrasounds.

THE SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH

Group 3 members develop dedicated scientific instruments with FPGA/CPLD, microcontrollers, microprocessors, and analogue front-end electronics. We are also employing specialists for circuit designing (both schematic and layout), as well and software-level or firmware-level digital signal processing. We are currently involved in gravitational wave, dark matter and neutrino experiments (VIRGO, DarkSide, KM3NET, WCTE (Water Cherenkov Test Experiment for Hyper-Kamiokande/THEIA/ESSnuSB)). Our expertise covers seismic, acoustic and optical sensors.
